Thousand Islands National Park
As the name suggests, this is an area with thousands of Islands and Islets. It is located in Ontario and is one of the most popular destinations in the world for boaters and paddlers. Pacific Rim National Park Reserve
This is a stretch of beautiful flora and fauna located in Georgia Strait on the shorelines of Western Vancouver Island. It sits on an area of 511 square kilometers and offers the scenic backdrop of the Pacific Ocean and mountain ranges. Its main attraction is the Long Beach that is said to be Canada’s premiere surfing destination. Another attraction in the area is the 100 islets in Barkley sound.
This park is nestled on the south western side of Canadian Rockies. It features glacier capped mountains, waterfalls, grasslands, limestone caves and canyons. Its highest peak is Deltaform Mountain which offers the visitors to the park the ultimate hiking challenge. The park was established in 1920 and was made a World Heritage Site in 1984.
This is the oldest National Park in Canada and showcases what a society can achieve with proper plans of conservation. It was established in 1885 and covers an area of 6641 square kilometers. From dense coniferous forests to turquoise lakes to snowcapped mountains; Banff National Park never disappoints the more than 4 million visitors that grace it every year.
Wood Buffalo National Park
This is the largest national park in Canada at 44,807 square kilometers. It was established to conserve the declining Bison population. Today, it has the world's largest free roaming herds of Bison. It was established in 1922 and features one of the world's largest freshwater lakes delta at Peace-Athabasca Delta. Its largest part is called Alberta plateau and features bogs, soft muskegs and sinkholes. It also has uplands on its southern end that features spruce Tundra lichens. The park is a UNESCO world heritage site.
